CUNY Add-ons

ILLiad functionality can be extended through the use of add-ons. These are small programs that can be embedded within ILLiad to improve the efficiency and accuracy of ILLiad workflows. There are two add-ons that will useful for all CUNY Libraries:

  • SFX Add-on with ALIAS Licensing data - Queries the CUNY SFX OpenURL resolver for full-text holdings. If full-text holdings are found ILL licensing terms for the citation in question are displayed. The licensing terms displayed are the generic ILL terms that have been collated and made publiclly available by the IDS project through the ALIAS API. This can also integrate with the MyMorph tif batch conversion tool if you utilize that service.
  • Aleph Catalog - This add-on listed on the public ILLiad add-ons directory executes Title, ISSN, and ISBN searches of the CUNY Catalog. Make sure to use https://libsearch.cuny.edu/F and the appropriate local base value for your campus or the CUNY Union Catalog.
  • IDS Search is not an Add-on in the traditional sense (and is not required for using ILLiad) yet it is one added benefit for those campuses that are using ILLiad. Please look at IDS Search if you would like additional information

ILLiad add-ons are installed in the "C:\Illiad8\Addons\" directory by default. You may create a shared networked directory shared by all of your campus workstations.

More add-ons can be found in the Atlas Systems add-ons directory.
