In January 2015, the Office of Library services launched CUNY Academic Works, a single site to collect and provide access to the scholarly and creative output of CUNY. Academic Works runs on Digital Commons, a hosted institutional repository software platform. Collection Policies Included works are selected and deposited by the individual campus in consultation with the Office of Library Services, but all content in Academic Works must:
- Represent scholarly and creative output
- Created by the faculty, students, and staff of the City University of New York
- Be available open access or on its way to being open access (i.e. under a temporary embargo)
Training and Support The Scholarly Communications Librarian in the Office of Library Services is available to consult and provide training on a broad range of issues, from author's rights to effective outreach strategies. Each campus is also paired with a consultant at Digital Commons who is available to provide technical training.
